On one of my trips to Alaska it was a must for me to visit the Kenai Fjords National Park. This National Park covers over 587,000 acres. I decided on the 7.5 hour small cruise tour that would take me up close and personal with glaciers, abundant wildlife, including a pod of nine Orca whales, and some of the most breathtaking scenery Alaska has to offer. This cruise allowed me to see remote parts of the park.
Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio is right in my backyard. I think sometimes this is one national park that may get overlooked by visitors to our state. There are countless fun things to do year round in this 33,000 acre national park.
A few of Florida’s best state parks are off the beaten path like Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon Florida. A former tourist attraction with a zoo and glass bottom boats has now transformed into a natural beauty that has been a favorite swimming and camping spot for the locals for many years.
